2) Secondly, Associations in the Greaco-Roman World: A Sourcebook, co-authored with Richard Ascough and John S. Kloppenborg. Baylor University Press / de Gruyter, forthcoming in 2012.
This is great, as it is now a rather long time since the publication of the initial volume of the works of Kloppenborg and Wilson on the Graeco Roman clubs and associations: John S. Kloppenborg and Stephen G. Wilson, eds., Voluntary Associations in the Graeco-Roman World (London: Routledge, 1995), and the work on the publication of relevant source material has been going on for quite some time. I am looking forward to these publications, but I must say, I do hope the sourcebook, published by Baylor, will be substantially cheaper than the volumes published by deGruyter, as the prices of the latter’s volumes are not very friendly to a student’s economy.
Hello Torrey. We’re hoping that the Baylor volume will be quite affordable, but we don’t know exact prices yet. THanks for mentioning the volumes — they have indeed been a long time coming. I’ll be working on the Asia Minor/Aegean Islands volume (with Greek and commentary) in the coming months, but we did just send in the English-only Sourcebook manuscript earlier this week (they’re aiming to have it out for sure before SBL 2012).
