In March last year, over at my then (but now sleeping) Philo of Alexandria Blog I was happy to note that I had received the new English translation of the Septuagint: A New English Translation of the Septuagint, Albert Pietersma and Benjamin G. Wright, Oxford University Press.
Now I gather from the Primal Subversion Blog that this translation is now available on the Internett. You will find it here: http://ccat.sas.upenn.edu/nets/edition/#critical
Let me also repeat that I consider the former Philo of Alexandria blog as incorporated in this one, but the old site will still be up for some time as I see there are some who still pay it a visit from time to time.
The next Nordic New Testament Conference will be held in June 11-15,2010 in Joensuu, Finland. The conference gives an opportunity for Nordic scholars to meet colleagues, to get to know what is going on within the field of New Testament studies in other Nordic countries and to present one’s own recent research.
The theme of the conference is “Dynamics of New Testament Readings. Nordic Perspectives.” The conference will host four sub-seminars and lectures on the following themes:
1) Oral Traditions and Early Christian Literature
2) Early Readings of the New Testament
3) New Testament Exegesis and Comparative Religion
4) The Academic and Social Setting of Nordic Exegesis
